Behind the three-syllables of her name, there is a young Polish photographer in search of her identity. With her cat by her side Bell conjures up scenes and invites us into the intimacy of her bedroom in England, into the secret world of her imagination. A surrealist element is the underlying current in her series of self-portraits in which she is always accompanied by her cat. Far removed from reality, she delves deep into her psyche. Overtones of the comical-fantastical with undertones of vintage-classics lend this series an aspect of timelessness within this great tradition of "pictorial" photography.
