Née en 1976 à Vancouver, la photographe Karin Bubas compose à la manière d’une cinéaste inspirée des scènes de mystère, dans des intérieurs du quotidien ou des paysages foisonnants. Jouant sans cesse sur la capacité des images à raconter des histoires, elle évite délibérément de donner une fin à ses récits, pour mieux livrer ceux qui regardent aux divagations de leur imagination. Elle puise volontiers dans le monde des mythes et de la fable, retravaillés à la lumière des interrogations contemporaines. Présentée régulièrement dans les meilleures galeries canadiennes, Karen Bubas a déjà exposé aux Etats-Unis et en Europe (Bruxelles).
