Working as a photographer in advertising Iris, who attended the Duperré School of Applied Arts and then Gobelins School of Images, has developed her own style nourished by the art of traditional still life. Like an alchemist, with her only tools the composition of the backdrop and the lighting, she endeavours to bring life to inanimate objects. For every fading flower, for every ripening fruit she creates a narrative, a universe laid bare which celebrates the substance of being; through a haze, the simple outline of an object, the art of fragmented daylight and diffracted colour.
