The lives of others A former student of the documentary school of the International Centre of Photography (ICP) in New York Goia executes her reportages with a combined sense of curiosity which when it comes to observing the lives of others, is as much journalistic as it is artistic in nature. A look, a gesture, the inspirational settings of Mongolia and China, at home with an aged generation or in art studios, the Italian photographer is driven forward by her endless curiosity. And it is from this constant questioning that images emerge that are empathetic, extraordinary and evocative.
