For over ten years the Paris based photographer Thomas Jorian has spent much time exploring urban voids. Service stations, graffitied walls or abandoned palaces: he captures the memories of these places left behind, the remains of bygone days. Cloaked in an air of nostalgic mystery, backdrops caught in time he uncovers the spirit buried deep in the piles of dust and leftovers. In 2009, Jorain took part in the international Prix des Voies Off d’Arles. This year he has been asked to take participate in the Night of Contemporary Photography in Paris.
