Between 2003 and 2005 Grégoire Eloy spent time compiling a report tracing the new contours of Eastern Europe, work which preceded his success at the Talent reportage in 2004. Eloy’s study of the world continues to take him from continent to continent. For this young photographer, « reporter with a difference», current affairs are in fact a pretext for a more personal discovery, revealing a dimension of these countries that is rarely seen; Eloy captures the beauty that survives in a war-ravaged country, the human aspect of individuals trapped in their stereotypes, the everyday life of those living in deserted landscapes.
