From his birthplace in Germany, Thomas Krappitz, travels though Europe and the United States in the search of fresh feminine faces. Removed from the traditional constraints and codes of fashion photography, he enhances his compositions by playing with the effects of light and shadow, but his focal point remains on the models he portrays. His images float somewhere between dreams and reality, reminiscent of the graphical dynamics of a Hitchock film as well as evoking elements of an Edward Hopper painting.
