Portraits of women " on the edge of a nervous breakdown", from flat-pack gardens in the suburbs of former Eastern Germany, to the huge building sites in Berlin: first and foremost Karen Linke’s photographs bind the human being to their environment. From the reality that surrounds her, Linke teases out the moments of metamorphosis, upheavals, everything that is moving, changing… showing that nothing lasts.
