For over ten years, Richard Tronson has been working on a photography project presenting scenarios that combine elements of the absurd, the comical and the theatrical. By juxtaposing rooms, salons, with glades parks and people, Tronson is able to evoke a constantly evolving a state of mind. History in progress, the mysteries of role games and role reversal: Tronson likes to sow a seed of disquiet in the mind of his spectators. Unconstrained from any ordinary logic, his scenarios explore the formative argument as a challenge to every attempt of imposing reason upon his images. The imagined scenes are fixed onto reality by the artist to provide an unfathomable rebus of photography.
