Lucia Zegada appreciates powerful and strange atmospheres. In Hungary, her native land, she photographs the fugitive and yet intimate reality of the every day. From portraits to interiors, from Beirut to the French countryside, her images claim dream’s part of impromptu and reveal the constancy of gaze rare in such a young talent. At the heart of her artistic procedure is the desire to eternalize fugitive moments, extract them from the continuity of time and hence ravish them from the past. Out of time out of frame her multitude of dreamed lives composes a mosaic more emotional than documentary.
