This young photographer who only recently graduated from the Birmingham Institute of Art has already claimed a number of prizes including the Elizabeth Arrowsmith Award for the Arts, the Rhubarb-Rhubarb Photography Festival Grant, the George Jackson travel Grant, the Fuji Film Merit, the Shots/Corbis Student Photographer Award to name but a few… Disciple of large formatting, she adopts the traditional techniques favouring long exposure time, which in turn reflects her own meditative and creative process. Fascinated by the conflicting undercurrents that exist between rural and urban areas, her landscapes follow the human path, scrutinising the way in which they modify them irreparably.
