Start of the new millennium, in the north of Tanzania. Welcomed by the Massai, Aernout Overbeeke has the opportunity to take part in a ritual central to the beliefs of the tribe. Witnessing the sacrifice of livestock through the lens of his camera he is able to touch on the souls of a people who have welcomed him/traverse the distance afforded him/ in as a guest subject of mystical beliefs and reverence. Overbeeke captures looks and gestures, postures and gaits of the most intimate nature, to construct a reverent portrayal of Maasai tradition.
