Zu Pan presents us with a diary of travels through the countries of her dreams. She explores the enduring existence of perpetual myths: that of the woman revamped, dressed up to the nines, bent to will, put in place, and smiling, for whom the vicissitudes of life are amusing or moving; that of Icarus’ flight, head in the clouds, gone with the wind, beneath a reassuring sun that shimmers in the steel wings. A prism through which the artist sheds light into her inner world, the clever use of the brash bordering on the kitsch opens up a country filled with fantasy.
