From places as diverse as Guinea to Irak, crossing between generations, bridging time and bringing generations face to face. The lens, pacifist in its objective, provides the gateway into a world suppressed by vicious wars, and embargoes. Lam Duc avoids journalistic tendencies in favour of seeking out and revealing the intimacies of the human soul. Extracted from the anonymity, and captured at close proximity, the expressions on these people's faces finally gives them a voice with which to speak out; from the liberty of the photographic frames each has a story to tell.
