URBAN MAN
How do you catch the spirit of the city?
Walk, run, float, feel the space. Stop.
No!! . Keep walking.
STOP, it’s red!!!
Fictional yet familiar, URBAN-MAN is a character all in lights, descending the traffic lights of our cities. He appears and disappears. He bursts into abstraction, bouncing off the urban code. Here and there, he plays with the neon lights, the road signs. Untiring nocturnal, symbol of the wanderer, he reconstructs the imaginary city, a fantastical world of colours and contrasts. The series by Pedro Marzorati translates the force of the urban aesthetic: a vibration of tones, melting together or violently contrasting; graphical elements belonging to pictograms. Everything is distinct, concise, strong, noisy with movement and arresting. An invitation to take a walk, a symbol that we meet daily, a flickering poetry.
