Cocks in stock, crests and heads cocked, posed in collection. Philippe Schlienger has put his neighbour’s cockerels together under projectors from his cosmetic studio. Captured in film, these poultry thus portrayed find themselves suddenly sublime, with moving and shaking of feathers and flesh. Adorned, proud, sometimes pushing and sometimes shoving, they seem to end up sharing some similarities with us.
