Wandering through the streets of the capital, Maud Chazeau allows herself to be immersed in the fabric of the city and its secrets. From a fast, hurried pace, she stops; from window to window she passes, to see if she can see what is hidden behind the veil of banalities. “I see things.” She says, “Every detail of the urban landscape transports me to a universe portrayed on my films”. Mysterious reflections, objects enshrouded in shadows: footstep by footstep, the photographer creates a series of urban spotlights, snapshots, just as momentary as the stories whispered by the city’s lights.
