Masked silhouettes, nudes on a table, corpses and dead leaves : For Les Krims, the body becomes object and beings turn into docile figurines displayed in their author's mind sets. Discomfort, amusement ? Take time to look, seize the accumulations to the point of suffocation. Between humor and provocation, this work aims to destroy the foundations of the American Way of Life, confront notions of the appropriate and the sacred. These photographs are projectections of a fantasy, at the very opposite of an objective depiction of reality. Les Krims is a photo-painter whose work is a kind of vision, an exuberant sensitivity to the world today.
