Created for the magazine Numero, the Peep Show series takes a cool look at a supposedly hot subject. Images within the image, accessible but distanced, the human figures resemble dolls suspended in a deserted stage set. Questioning the border between eroticism and pornography, Mario Palmieri refuses to make a categorical distinction. Nor does he enter into the screening rooms, instead he stays faithful to his outside point of view, that of the passerby. His photographs, showing nothing of the backstage, remain unanswered questions.
