Acceleratore

Silencio
Acceleratore, Thomas Jorion

Silencio

Scrutinizing Tomas Jorion’s work, one finds oneself a visitor at an extremely bizarre carnival of shadow and light, of nature and artifice. But the visitor is far more than a spectator with this photography. The experience goes beyond mere contemplation of a place – it begins to approach real understanding. The photography frees our perception of the subject matter before us. Questions concerning what we are actually seeing – a starry sky? or a black ceiling punched through with holes of light? – become inadequate.

The spectator comes away from these photographs with a strong sense of something that’s hard to describe. They reveal another dimension – but which? The photographer manages to question the place he’s photographing on a deep, mysterious level – interrogating the very raison d'être that presents itself. But finally, is mystery not appropriate? – a mystery that leaves the beholder thoughtful and intrigued? That mystery is precisely what the photographer reveals in these captured moments: the unnerving strangeness that these places take on when seen through his lens.

Add to cart

Silencio
Simulacra, Thomas Jorion

Silencio

Scrutinizing Thomas Jorion’s work, one finds oneself a visitor at an extremely bizarre carnival of shadow and light, of nature and artifice.

Add to cart

Add to cart
